I was so excited to finally get my hands on this video after three years.

But as it tends to go, that anticipation only led to disappointment after I watched it.

Dammit, I remember this jump being so much higher, the water being crystal clear – and this video sort of undermines all that.

It took us at least a half-hour to find the spot, too. The walk was mostly unshaded and the sharp, volcanic rock forced us to watch our step (lots of hikes on Maui are hidden, marked by chalk or rock formations to keep tourists out).

One of these days I will recover all of my Hawaiian photos (Kristin!).
