The Dearborn Inn is a curious place.
As I mentioned, it was built by Henry Ford back in the day to accommodate travelers arriving at the Ford Airport.
The Inn is homey and comfortable, but we are most definitely not in Detroit. Across the street is Ford’s complex, and beyond that it’s very suburban (no pun intended).
Here are some photos. I am not staying in the main building – I am off to the side in a building that sort of looks like a dormitory.
One of the women I was walking with said she thought she could have graduated from the building, and I had to laugh.
