I was not lucky enough to get on the last flight to Santa Barbara this evening, so I am staying in Phoenix tonight and flying out tomorrow morning (7:30 a.m.).
U.S. Air has set me up in the Courtyard Marriott, about five minutes from the airport.
It feels like a sauna here – the temperature is over 100 degrees. “Dry” heat or whatever, it’s still freaking hot.
No worries though – I’m going to meet up with my friend who lives in Phoenix and head out for dinner and drinks.
Never a dull moment around here, that’s for sure – but the cool thing is I’ve never hung out in Phoenix, so here’s my chance.
That’s what I call a silver lining.
