Last night, we checked out what my friend refers to as the Top of the World in Santa Barbara.
There is a group of us that hikes every Wednesday, although I missed last week because I was in the Dominican Republic.
The trailhead is sort of complicated to find – it’s a far drive up Gibraltar Road and there are no markings – but if you are interested shoot me a note and I’ll send you directions and a few landmarks.

We got up there around 6… we hike most Wednesdays…come with next time!
I love hiking in the hills of Santa Barbara. Such great trails and the view from the top is always the best part. Whenever I am in town I always try to make time for a hike, especially if the weather permits for a view out to the islands! I was just in town and I had a great time.
