The Joy of Sake: New York City to Celebrate

I confirmed today that I will unfortunately be on the other side of the country (in Santa Barbara) at the time of the Joy of Sake festival in New York City on October 21st.

It’s a shame – I am a big fan of sake and they will have 326 varieties, 170 of which are not available in the United States (last time I drank sake at the TASTE event on Rodeo Drive, I revealed my secret to avoiding a hangover).

Thirteen restaurants will offer appetizers, and tickets are $90. I’ve never been to the Altman Building, but it looks classy and impressive.

Sounds worth checking out if you’re a sake fan in the New York area – a nice little night out, a change of pace.

I’ve got some friends attending, and it’s held annually, so perhaps I’ll plan ahead next year if they report good things.
