Rainstorm, Blown Engine No Match for Exuma Beauty

I’m in the Exuma Aiport, waiting for my flight to Nassau.

Then I head to Charlotte, Phoenix, and finally Santa Barbara.

It will be a long travel day, yet the memories of yesterday should keep me company.

We were on the move all day – from 7 a.m. until after midnight – but I must say it was one hell of a day.

Plenty of time to write this week, and man do I have stories to tell. We swam with pigs and sharks, fed iguanas, drank rum punch, visited multiple cays and keys, explored stunning sandbars, cruised through aqua-blue water at over 50 mph and even blew an engine and got caught in a rainstorm on the way back to Exuma (and that doesn’t include the two days on Nassau and the first day on Exuma when we explored Great Exuma and Stocking Island).

One other thing: I had the opportunity to drive – on the left side of the road in a car with the steering wheel on the right – pretty interesting.

Here are some photos from yesterday’s adventure on Exuma Water Tours:

Swimming with nurse sharks.
Swimming pigs.

Feeding the iguanas...french fries!
