Next Up: Weekend in New York City

Yesterday, after we checked out of the Waterfront Marriott in Baltimore, we drove north on 95 back to New Jersey.

Central Park looks pretty impressive.

I spent the evening having a drink with some friends, grilling out and trying to unwind a bit after a ton of eating in Baltimore (reviews on lunch at McCormick and Schmick’s and Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse are in the works).

I am sort of in a haze this morning, but I will rally and this afternoon we’ll take the New Jersey Turnpike to the Big Apple.

I can’t decide what I want to do. My first thought was that I wouldn’t mind hanging around Central Park – then I saw it’s supposed to be in the 90s this weekend – so we’ll see what strikes my interest.

Then again, one of the best parts of Chicago was exploring Lincoln Park and the outdoor opportunities offered by a large city, so I take it back: I’ll definitely check out Central Park.

I managed to move forward with some fiction yesterday afternoon on the drive back from Baltimore (as well as OCNJ and Inner Harbor stories… coming soon).

I can’t remember the last time I was this happy about how busy I am.
