Nassau to Exuma: People-to-People and Swimming Pigs

To say I had a great time last night would be an understatement.

I want nothing more than to tell you about it – our host family was fantastic and any visitor to the Bahamas should look to take part in this people-to-people program (it’s free) – however it’s currently 4:30 a.m. and I’ve got to be down at the lobby in fifteen minutes.

PLEASE let this happen.

We are taking a short flight over to Exuma – which I am told is going to be right up my alley. The rumors include beautiful beaches, large iguanas, and swimming pigs.

I am going to have to see this “swimming pig” thing to believe it, yet everyone assures me that they exist, that at the sound of your boat they jump into the water and swim towards you, hoping to be fed.

Simply writing that brought a smile to my face. Dear Lord, please let me see a pig jump into the water and swim towards me.

Ah, man – it’s early.

Stay tuned for more photos and coverage (and maybe a video?) – these next two days should be rather interesting.

That volleyball net needs work, man.

  1. Make sure you go to the swimming pigs with Ray and Justin on the 007 Thunderball Tour. They do it like no one else. You will see!
