Before we shot the video of yours truly getting lit up by an A340 as it took off from Princess Juliana Airport, we attempted to get a view from behind of the chaos that ensues on Maho Beach during takeoff.

Apparently it was a little too chaotic, and my cameraman had to bail out once the sandstorm started. I was initially a little annoyed – I endured the feeling of a 1,000 needles for nothing.

Yet now, looking back at the footage, I believe we captured it rather well after all – the madness is certainly obvious.
