Most times, an infinity pool is defined as one that sets up swimmers and loungers with a view that gives the illusion it goes on forever – typically using a nearby body of water (such as the ocean) to pull off the effect (see the one from Rosarito Beach, the one I use in the header on the main page).
I guess Barcelo just figured they’d build one that literally went on forever.
I told you it was the biggest pool I’ve ever seen, and not one person I asked on my trip told me they’d seen a bigger one. If you have, send me pics, please.
You’ve heard about drinking screwdrivers and enjoying the isolation at the adult pool, and this week I’ll post more of the rest of the property. There are five hotels total – each with their own pools – so we’re far from finished.
Barcelo Maya Palace Deluxe Pool:
That pool is really big! I guess it is bigger compared to an Olympic-sized pool. I would love to visit that place.
