As it was with the Venetian, New York New York put a smile on my face as soon as I walked in. Before that, actually – as you approach you see the New York skyline, the Statue of Liberty, and a classic New York bridge. The re-creation of the New York streets inside is no let down, and I love a hotel with that kind of flair, for no other reason than it is this personality that equals fun in my book.
Men will tell you: beauty is great, but a beauty/personality combo is where it’s at.
We went there to see Zumanity – a naughty/humorous version of Cirque du Soleil. Not only did they have impressive acrobatics and displays of strength, there was also a good bit of audience interaction (which was humorous), lots of flying through the air, dirty jokes, and plenty of bare chests to be seen (don’t worry, ladies, the men strip down, too).
Got to be honest: The scene with the two girls in the small, clear pool was quite awesome (cameras were not allowed but I found a photo that gives you an idea).
We were looking for a show that would be fun and easy-going and not take up our entire night (1.5 hours), and I think we did a pretty good job in choosing Zumanity. Depending on when you go the show might not be running, but do check out New York New York – I think you will be impressed.
