Given the recent snow in Monument Valley and rain in Roswell, San Antonio, and Austin, I couldn’t have asked for a better drive today (story to come on Austin, great city).

I’m held up in Arkansas tonight, and tomorrow I head to Huntsville, which will be my first visit ever to Alabama.

I put in over 500 miles today, and I’m sitting pretty for a Tuesday arrival in the Philly area. I found out this afternoon that I will be attending the Virginia Tech basketball game and seeing some old friends in Blacksburg on Monday – a nice way to cap off the ten-day trip.

Time for me to get to work – much more coverage to come leading up to the Christmas festivities.
